The modern yurt, built for Australia and New Zealand.
ORON is everything we've learned from years of living in and building yurts. We kept what worked, improved what didn't, and built the yurt we always wished existed.
A 60% heavier timber frame, hardwood doors and windows, natural insulation and a tough matte exterior. Every detail designed to make ORON stronger, more comfortable and better looking than a conventional yurt.
From off-grid retreats and guest accommodation to studios and extra living space, ORON is built to make something special possible.
Choose from seven door styles. Single and double doors fit the same 900mm opening. Extra doors can be added - $1,090 each

Straight answers to your top questions
ORON builds on our Standard Yurt with a 60% heavier timber frame, hardwood doors and windows, a heavy-duty matte exterior and a larger skylight. Inside, a hemp-cotton liner comes in nine colours. It's our premium yurt, with stronger construction, upgraded materials and more options to make it yours.
Start with what you want to fit inside. A bedroom or studio needs less space than a layout with a bathroom, kitchen and separate living area.
ORON sizes range from 5 metres to 12 metres. An 8-metre ORON gives you approximately 50 square metres. Tell us your plans and we'll help you choose a size.
Yes. ORON is designed for year-round use, with insulation and ventilation to help manage changing conditions. Choose insulation suited to your climate and plan for heating or cooling where needed.
ORON comes with 10 mm high-density wool felt insulation as standard. For colder locations, a second wool felt layer adds insulation. In hotter climates, reflective Air-Cell can be added over the wool felt to help reduce radiant heat.
We'll help you choose the right combination for your location.
Yes. Most first-time owners assemble their yurt in around two to three days once the platform is ready. Smaller sizes generally need two to four people; larger sizes need more help.
We provide written instructions, video guides and phone support.
Your ORON needs a level, stable base. A timber deck is the most common choice, although concrete is also possible. We provide deck plans for your chosen size. The platform and site preparation are arranged separately.
Requirements depend on your location, intended use and site works. Check with your local council before ordering, especially for residential or paid accommodation use. Your deck may also need approval.
We can provide product information to support those conversations.
Clean the cover with mild detergent and a soft brush, check seals and fixings annually, and maintain exposed timber as needed.
The ORON frame and cover come with a three-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
